Author

Datos is an artist and world builder working at the intersection of narrative, philosophy, and technology. His work centers on TETHER, an evolving world exploring the forces that bind human existence. Love, identity, memory, technology, power. In this world, every connection is a tether. A bond that both stabilizes and limits.Rather than creating isolated works, Datos produces artifacts from within a larger system. Each piece is part of an unfolding structure.Through seasons such as Love & Robots and Personaē, he explores different forms of connection. Between human and machine, self and society. His practice is shaped by years working across technical and managerial fields worldwide.

Artist Statement

Most artists describe the world. Datos builds one.Working at the intersection of art, narrative, and philosophy, he develops TETHER, an evolving cosmology exploring the invisible forces that bind human existence. These include love, identity, memory, technology, power, among others. In this world, every connection is a tether. A bond that stabilizes life while simultaneously restricting it.Freedom begins where the tether ends. So does the fall.Rather than producing isolated works, Datos creates visual artifacts from within this cosmology. Each piece functions as a fragment of a larger structure. Traces from a reality shaped by the tension between attachment and autonomy. The project unfolds through seasons. Each season examines a different form of tether.Love & Robots explored the dissolving boundary between human and machine, tracing the emotional and existential consequences of that convergence.Personaē turns inward toward the architecture of the self. Presented as fragments recovered from a speculative archive, the works examine identity as something worn rather than possessed. Masks adopted to navigate the pressures of social existence.Working with digital and AI driven tools, Datos treats technology not as spectacle but as an instrument for exploring consciousness and the systems that shape human experience. His practice is informed by an international background across technical and managerial domains.Rather than approaching art as a collection of individual pieces, Datos builds worlds as systems of meaning that unfold over time through images, texts, and narrative structures.TETHER is one of these worlds. Others will follow. At its center remains a single unresolved question. If the tether that binds us is cut,
do we become free,
or do we disappear?
